Civil engineering
Recent projects for national blue chip clients briefly include:
- Snackfood manufacturer — Leicester — External working, restricted access; creating reinforced concrete plinths for substantial liquid tanks complete with bespoke concrete bund walls.
- Leicester — Internal dust-sensitive working area, severely restricted working space; fully electric equipment (no fumes permitted) creating reinforced below ground pit.
- Huntingdon — External winter working, limited working space; creating below ground foundations, base and circular vertical walls with 2mm tolerance for HGV turntable. Complex site requiring existing drainage diversion and weighbridge removal to facilitate project. Utilising confined space team.
- Food manufacturer — Leicestershire — Internal working dust sensitive; creating roller shutter door opening. Fully electric equipment (no fumes permitted). Extensive vertical wall support system. Weekend working to minimise disruption to clients operation.
- Bristol — External machine lay asphalt to distribution HGV Depot.
All these projects involved considerable excavation, EA accredited waste disposal, steel fixing and tying, complex preformed and bespoke timber shuttering, placed and pumped standard /24hr rapid setting ready mixed concrete, laid to power float finish.
Mains, foul and storm connections
Severn Trent approved contractors to carry out mains, foul and storm connections.
Indirect and direct connections accommodated. As highway accredited contractors we can assist with permit applications for Severn Trent and the appropriate local highway authority.
Deep excavations, bandseal, saddle, existing manhole connections. New manhole construction over assorted size Severn Trent mains.
Fully trained confined space teams utilising BA equipment.
Road and street works accredited with £10m insurance cover -all mandatory requirements for this type of project.
Vehicle access
We pride ourselves on offering a first-class service for domestic, commercial, industrial and agricultural accesses, in concrete or asphalt.
Vehicle access permit applications can be submitted on your behalf, progressing with the highway authority, and liaising with all parties to agree timely start and completion dates.
Domestic. Vehicle permits can be obtained in the Leicester City, Leicestershire and Derbyshire County Council areas.
Industrial and commercial. Including S184 applications with statutory service providers information obtained. Full construction service with own plant and in-house team.
Agricultural. Light to heavy-duty full construction entrances to fields, farms, stables etc.
